Hi.

I have a problem launching my game on friends computer - "Report problem" dialog appears... I gave him source to compile himself. Now i know, that line:

glowMaskTarget = new RenderTarget2D(graphics.GraphicsDevice,
graphics.GraphicsDevice.PresentationParameters.BackBufferWidth,
graphics.GraphicsDevice.PresentationParameters.BackBufferHeight,
0, graphics.GraphicsDevice.PresentationParameters.BackBufferFormat);

...throws an exception with no helpful information. Code is in LoadGraphicsContent method as automatic content.

I got GF 6200 card, and that game runs on one friends of mine computer with same card as well, but in this case, with GF FX5200 - it throws an exception.

What device cap could it be Are there some specific tricks to walk-around this

Thanks.

Sorry, but I don't get it how to use "edit" function..

The exception informatio is:

Re: XNA Framework RenderDarget2D() exception

Shawn Hargreaves - MSFT

Try using the debug D3D runtime, and attaching a native logger to get more information about why this call is failing.

See http://blogs.msdn.com/shawnhar/archive/2007/01/31/debugging-xna-graphics-problems.aspx for how to set this up.
