I just wanted to see what people thought of the game IĄŻm working on with XNA. IĄŻve been posting updates to my blog if you are interested. Right now I only have movies on the site; hopefully IĄŻll get a demo up in the next couple of weeks.

Looks good.

A few comments:
Need to scan over the text a little. Found a couple typos (secure,
sergeant, etc.)
I think the enemies need to be a different color than blue. They look too much like the main character.
The effects look great.

I see that your next build is going to focus on making it look nice and I think thats good because it appears you have all of the hard work (AI, pathing, effects, game design stuff) done pretty well.

The movies run really fast for me, so I'm guessing that's not the actual game speed. :)

I've visited your site a few times recently (don't remember how I got there), but I remembered the previous movies.

On the personal side, I enjoy reading about the problems that you ran into during your game dev on your blog. So when I finally get time to finish/work on my game, I'll know what to do or not to do :)

Once you get the game ready for release, don't forget to submit it to sites like http://www.xnagamereviews.com.

Yeah spelling not my strong point. The text also has the issue that not all the characters I use are in my font yet, it defaults to the letter a. I forgot to add finishing the font to my asset list.

The enemies look like the main character because for the moment that is the only character mesh I have, everyone look like a blue sphere.

Thanks for the feedback.

That's looking really good.

Are you planning to share any of the source for this Your 3D Tile editor looks particularly interesting.

I'll probably release the source when it is done. There is nothing in it that is very complicated. I would want to take a cleanup pass at it before anyone actualy saw certain parts of it, I'm learning C# at the same time I'm making it; so there is some learning code in there.

The editor in particular is a large hack. Will need major work before I let anyone else actualy use it. I also need to make a binary map file format, right now I'm just serializing a map structure. This is generating a 1 to 3 meg XML file. The file should only be about 100k if it was done properly. Since I'm planing on about 50( I have no realy plan but it is a nice number) or so maps total that is about 100 Megs or 5 megs.

Thanks.
