Re: Visual Studio Debugger how to avoid writting debug info into the immediate window and put it into debug window

Hi Creaturita,

Could you give me more information on what you are trying to do What are you referring to when you say "debug window" There are several windows used for debugging, immediate being one of them.

Thank you,

Liz

Well, i explained wrong.

When I said debug window I refered to output window, when you select debug. I can not show anything there, which is cleaner than writing into inmediate window which has a lot of rubbish info.

I write debug.write and it goes to inmediate, not to output window.

Thanks

First, we have to get the terminology standardized

1. The window that receives the output from the debug.print method is the 'immediate' window.

The debug.print method can only be used to output to the 'immediate' window.

In order to output to another object, you need to reference that object which depending on your coding could be a sheet, a control, a form, a window, etc.

Where, very specifically, are you attempting to route your output By specific, I mean the exact object and property. If you are uncertain, one way to find these values is to look in the 'project explorer' and 'properties' windows.
