Can you please explain how do i do programmatically

Ed Psyk - MSFT

The only way to do it programatically is to query MSI or look in the registry. The manual way is to open "Add/Remove Programs" and check the "Show Updates" checkbox. If SP1 is installed there will be a child item under the Team Foundation Server entry.

You could query the registry on the server and look for KB926738.

1)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team Foundation Server - ENU\KB926738

The DWORD value Installed should be set to 1

2)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{A212FEEC-14C4-460E-BE0E-F1DEBD14C324}

The DWORD value IsInstalled should be set to 1

3)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\8.0\InstalledProducts\KB926738

If the above key exists it is installed
