Hi everyone,

Subreports commonly have parameters which receive their values from the parent report. Is it possible for a subreport to have a parameter which is not resolved in the parent report and needs to be resolved seperately For context's sake, I'm referring to using either RS or the ReportViewer control in remote mode.

Thanks in advance for your time,

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

I can only speak from my own experience and from what I have learned a parameter can be resolved seperately, but perhaps not in the way you may be thinking. If the subreport parameter has referenced a field in a dataSet the subreport is using then yes this can work. Otherwise I believe (and dont quote me on this), that they must be resolved in the parent report.

Hope this helps!
