I've just begun automating some builds and the potential is exciting. The first problem I've found is the build numbers stay in the bug details tab of Team System Web Access even after I've run a successful TFSBuild delete command on the build.

I want my testers to use this found in and fixed in features of Team System Web Access but I do not want them to have to go through the 12 Hello World builds I've got in there now.

Does anyone know how to remove these values from Team System Web Access

The build numbers are stored in a global list in the Work Item Tracking database. See the following post from Jason Prickett that details how to modify that list to remove your Hello World ones...

Good luck,

Martin.

Worked like a charm. Thanks!

Any plans to make this a little easier in TFS 2008

Not really. Deleting builds is easier in TFS2008, but it still leave the entry in the Work Item Global List that you have to clear up manually or build your own process to remove unwanted ones.

Hopefully it will be looked at for the version after TFS2008.
