I use Visual Studio 2005 with Crystal Reports, and have a 'path' field where I store the absolute path of some images.
I used the Graphic Location formula to change the image path for every record, as follows:
formula = "C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\v2\catalogimages\"+{TestReport.ئĦɦ : prodid}+"_1.jpg"
The path is correct. When I use the same path in Explorer I get the image.

However, when I run my report the image does not refresh and I see the default image (as if the file is not found)

For testing reasons, I have also set the image to be a hyperlink pointing to a file using the same formula with the exact path, and when I click the image I get the correct image!

How can I refresh the image object to show the correct image for every record

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Alex.

To use the graphic image location you need to be using crystal reports xi or newer, and because you are using VS 2005, you have to be using crystal reports XI release 2 references in your project.

Hello mewdied,
Thanks for the help.
I already have Crystal Reports XI Release 2 installed. The report has been designed in Crystal Reports (not using Visual Studio 2005 interface).

How can I add the CR XI Release 2 references to my project
Thanks!
Alex

You need to have the developer edition of Crystal Reports XI release 2, and it must be installed after you install VS 2005.

You should then be able to add references to the 11.5.3700 dlls.

Thanks for your support mewdied!
Indeed, I have installed Visual Studio 2005 and then Crystal Reports XI release 2 developer edition.
But when I click at 'Project>Add Reference' menu I see that I have Crystal Reports references version 10.2.3600.0

How can I update these references to version 11.5.3700

Once again, thank you very much for your valuable help!

I would try uninstalling and reinstalling Crystal Reports XI release 2, try rebooting before and after uninstalling.
