Is it possible to assign multiple classes (or files) which belong to a specific solution/project to a single work-item For instance if you want to create a new task and you know in advance which classes would be affected.

You can link a Versioned Item to a work item. Go to the links control, select "Add..." and select "Versioned Item", browse, select, and link. Let me know how you think that works.

Now I have a question for you: Why are you wanting to do this. I'm trying to understand the why behind your request. That will help us build a product that better meeds your needs.

Thanks,

Gregg

Thank you for your help. I should have taken a closer look to the available options first... The reason for my request was that I want to have the opportunity to see which files will be affected by the forthcoming tasks/change requests.

Thanks for the info. TFS provides the ability to associate files to a work item when you check-in those files.

Some people have asked for the functionality to associate with a work item when you check-out files. Would that functionality meet your needs in this case Thanks,
