Re: Team Foundation Server - General i am connected to tfs server. how do I get a project called project1 from tfs server to my computer

Naren Datha - MSFT

You can click on "Tools"/"Connect to team foundation server" to select the server and to show team explorer. There will also be Team main menu. The help documents can walk you through further.

What are refer with get a project1 in your computer if I understand your point, you refer get this project on your workspace (phisical space in your computer), is correct

First you need to have permissions in the project, then you have to select your project form source control and finally you have to do a right click in the project to get lastest version, this obtain the project in your computer, as long as configured your workspace.

After Connecting toTFS (Tools->Connect To TeamFoundationServer).
Open the Source Control Window(View->Other Windows->Source Control Explorer).
You will see a Workspace Label with dropdownlist on it. (if it is disabled, go to Tools->Options->Source Control->Current Source Control Plugin (change to Visual Studio team foundation server).
After you will see its enabled, click on it, and click on 'Workspaces...'.
Click Edit and from the pop up window, you can specify the destination of the particular project/folder in the project).

Hope this helps.
