In my project, I have extended propety in all the table scripts. I would like to eliminate extended property while building and deploying my database. Is it any option available in db pro to exclude extended property

There is no way to tell VSDBPro not to execute the Extended Properties if they are in the script, you would have to remove them from the script.

Thanks Gert.

Is it possible to consider to create extended properties in a separate single file for all the objects in a database

Thanks.

We certainly can.

Just for your information, one of the reasons we dismissed that option is because that is when you delete the parent object of the property we want to remove the property definition. Having it inside a different single file for all properties is a big maintenance hit and storing them in a separate file for properties would introduce too many additional files.

You can file the request using Microsoft Connect https://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio this will allow others to vote on it and you can track the outcome.

Thanks a lot Gert D.

I got a feed back from Microsoft Connect as follows :

We are considering adding to a future release a checkbox to the project properties to enable/disable the inclusion of extended properties. Would that meet your needs

Once again thanks.
