Hi,

We maintain all our projects(.NET, J2EE, etc.,) in SAP and it contains complete repository of Projects details from end to end. We are trying to make all our .NET development environments and its projects to VSTS. I am more interested in getting help from MS regarding intergrating VSTS with SAP. By default I know VSTS maintains its database in SQL Server 2005. Can some one help me in this area - Thanks

This would be a topic more appropriate to "Visual Studio Extensibility" forum, which includes among its topics the integration with Visual Studio. I am moving this question over there.

Sorry to bounce you again, but this was incorrectly sent to the extensibility forum, which is about programming the Visual Studio APIs. Moving to the VSTS forum where they may have ideas about how to use SAP as your backend.

Hi Raj,

I'm not sure exactly what type of integration you are looking for, but it sounds like your end goal is to migrate away from SAP and use TFS to manage your source code. If this is the case, I think that you will likely need to build a tool to help migrate the data from the SAP DB to TFS.

The best place to start for creating a migration/integration tool is the TFS Migration and Sync Toolkit: www.codeplex.com/MigrationSyncToolkit. This toolkit makes it significantly easier to create a tool to integrate with or migrate to TFS.
