I don't see where VSTS provides for visual/diagram requirements such as UML. The training modules use a work item which is simply a text statement (1970ish stuff)of what the customer wants.

Please answer these two questions, since I may be missing something:

1) Does VSTS provide Use Cases using shapes (diagrams)

2) What is the "closest thing" to UML that VSTS offer

If work item statements is the best that VSTS offers in terms of requirements, then that is a "huge "piece of functionality missing in VSTS. After all, without requirements, all else is irrelevent.

Thanks

Re: Visual Studio Team System - Architecture & Design USE CASES? UML?

VSTS doesn't contain visualization of requirements or use cases. However, if you are interested in something like UML use case diagrams you could use Visio Professional which supports UML. Alternatively you could create your own use case language using the DSL toolkit - see http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/aa718368.aspx for more details.

Hope this helps,

Ian
