My report has a footer which I want to display approximately 0.5 cm from the bottom of the page. Ive set the margins up accordingly, however when I go to print my report the footer is pushed up to approximately 2.5cm C is there some way to overwrite this Or does anyne know what I'm doing wrong

Thanks

Are you trying to do this dynamically If so, then you would need to make a call like the following:

reportDocument1.PrintOptions.ApplyPageMargins(margins); //'margins' is a struct that you get and load.

If you are doing this in the designer, I assume you are using 'File -> Page Setup' to set the margins. If that is not working, I'm not sure what is happening.

No, I am setting up my page margins using the File > Page Setup approach, but like you I'm not sure why these are being ignored

In my Page Setup dialog, there is a "Use Default Margins" checkbox, which is marked by default. You might uncheck that box, if you haven't already.

Also, I found that the margin settings are determined by the printer driver. Change your default printer and you will find that your default margins change as well, assuming that the printers are quite different.

You may have to set the margins dynamically to actually control them.
