    - Authorization issues with Team Proxy Server Hi, I'm completely unable to get the team proxy working and I can't diagnose it at all. The installation was fine but when I try to use the proxy I get The source control proxy 'myserver.us.com' is not responding, so the request will be sent to the main server. Please verify your settings. Additional information: TF30063: You are not authorized to access Microsoft-IIS/6.0. Looking at the w3svc log I'm getting 401 errors on the proxy server but I can't tell where they're coming from. I can't even figure out who is unable to access IIS. Is this on the proxy or in the proxy->server communications or what Can anyone help me figure out how to even diagnose this I tried this on our local network hub (i.e. with the proxy physically next to the server) and still get this issue. We do use some web caching stuff in the office and I don't think it was on the same local net as the server. Still, it would sure be nice if there was a bit more diagnostic info.     - Intermittent hanging build Hi there. Lately I've been having intermittent problems with a build hanging during building the initial project in a solution. When it hangs, VS stops responding and has to be shut down via task manager. I attached Process Monitor to devenv.exe to see if I couldshed any light on the problem, and the key difference between hanging and successful builds is that the former makes several reads to the cslang dlls whereas the latter does not.     - Team Suite: No option to add new Web Test Hi All, I have a Team Suite Edition installed but I don't have an option to add a new web test for some reason. I can add new ordered test or new unit test but that is all. FYU: I had Team Edition for Software Developers installed initially and then ran Team Suite installation on top of it. When I view about information, I can clearly see that the Team Suite had been installed. Am I missing something Thank you.     - Cannot add project with changed path to source control I created a new Team Project and configured source control in Visual Studio Team Suite to use the TFS plug-in for source control. I then added an empty Visual Studio solution to source control from within Visual Studio. No problem. It shows under source control and I can check it in and out. I have a number of existing projects that I want to move into this new structure. So I copied an existing project folder -- putting the project folder in the local solution folder and then right-clicked on the solution and chose Add Existing Project. It did indeed add the existing project to the solution, but it is not in source control; there is no symbol next to the project or its files, ie. the yellow plus like there is for new projects. Note that I can create a NEW project under the solution and it does get added to source control. The new project is also one level down in my workspace folder.     - No online MSDN links when using proxy server hi, I noticed that Sandcastle doesn't generate online msdn-links when the internet connection is through a proxy server. --- copy from email to Eric Woodruff --- I did some investigation on the ResolveReferenceLinksComponent2 component stored in the BuildComponents.dll assembly. I noticed that the MSDNResolver that was internally being used by this component uses a ContentService (which inherits from SoapHttpClientProtocol) that had no proxy support (although it supports a proxy, the proxy wasn't set) The problem with the online MSDN links only occurred when I have my PC connected at a customers network that uses proxy settings to connect over the internet. At other networks (without any proxy settings) everything works out fine.     - Printing without the ReportViewer In a Win Forms app, is it possible to print a report without using the ReportViewer control I want to provide a print button on a Form (like Outlook does) and then use an embedded Report to print the data so I don't really need the ReportViewer. I would want to display the PrinterDialog though and use the settings from here to control the printed Report.     - Possible to send TFS email notification in a single thread? I have the email notification working successfully for Team Foundation Server, but on emails such as the "Build Complete" notification, it's a pain that TFS sends out individual messages to each person. It would be much easier to discuss a broken build simply by being able to hit "Reply All" on the message that is sent out from TFS. I have considered setting the web.config on TFS so that the message appears 'from' a mailing list... but I would prefer to find a way for TFS to just send one message with multiple people on the "To:" line.     - VS2005 SP1 hi to all, I've installed on my desk VS2005 Pro and the SP1 Beta. now that SP1 was finally release, i tried to install but it tell me that my VS2005 version isn't right to apply SP1.     - Copy Source Files to Folder, then Build Source From that Folder Hi all, I have been getting to grips with MSBuild today, but seem to be having a problem doing something relatively simple! I'd like to copy all my source folders to a certain folder BEFORE the build, then build the files that are in that folder . I've got the copying of source files working, then I modifiy one of the source files to replace a token with a property value. The problem I have is getting the copied source files to be used as the inputs to the compiler. Does anyone have any suggestions I'm happy to post some code snippets of what I have if required. This seems like such a common thing to do, but the compiler always uses the orginal source files! I am implementing Version 1.2 of the SCC API and have completed implementing all of the necessary functions. I can successfully create a new project/solution and add that solution successfully to my source control system.     - Unit Testing / Data Source Issue O.K. I must be doing something wrong, or understand what is supposed to happen incorrectly. I have a Class that is responsible for the CRUD functions for connecting to a SqlServer database. Everything but one method is working correctly (although this is the only one where a foreign key comes into play), I have it pulling test data from our main table which has a GUID as its primary key, the test method is then supposed to create a record in another table with that GUID as a foreign key. The problem is it keeps returning an error saying that GUID does not exist in my main table. The tf.exe history command should give you what you need. Just be sure to use the /user argument:
