    - VSTestHost.exe - Error - Still No luck after re-installing everything. I would suggest to people that you can run vs tests in the NUnuit gui. It is a lot more stable than VSTestHost.exe. Plus the 'multi-threaded' Visual studio pretty much dies when you run test. With the NUnit Gui you can run the tests then keep on working.     - Project references I have since noticed that this doesnt happen in the iron python example so its not a bug. I have also found out more precisly what causes the problem: My custom project cannot reference any project that was added to the solution after it was. I have also noticed it cannot reference any c++ project regardless of when it is added. On further inspection of the Iron Python project i have also noticed it has trouble with c++ project references. By changing CoreCompile, you've confused the logger. It probably believes that it failed to compile. Overriding CoreCompile is not supported, but if you look at the original CoreCompile target in the orginal .targets file, you may be able to put the necessary elements in your new CoreCompile target.     - Unable to uninstall Trial version of VS 2005 Professional I have the trial version of VS 2005 Professional installed on my PC. The trial period has ended and now I want to install my fully licensed VS 2005 Standard . During my attempts at installing VS 2005 Standard I experience the following: Upon opening VS Standard, VS Pro Trial opens, instead, with the message that the trial has ended, please upgrade. When I try to uninstall VS Pro Trial, it fails. The first time I tried uninstalling it, the uninstall process hung for over two hours, so terminated it and restarted my PC. During the second attempt, the uninstall failed because an .msi file was missing. I tried to re-install the product (VS Pro Trial) in order to get all the files back, but I was unable because the previous install of the trial was detected (with the message, "please uninstall" before re-installing. I tried removing all references to VS from the Registry as well as all the files, then rebooting. The install still detected the previous version of VS Pro Trial. I restored the registry and all removed files and did a system restore to the point prior to all the above events. Upon attempting the VS Pro Trial uninstall, the process failed during the component loading: "A problem has been encountered while loading the setup components. Cancelling setup." I tried installing VS Standard, again. Again, it installed but VS Pro Trial opens, instead with, again, the "trial period has terminated." How can I get my licensed VS 2005 installed I'm going around in circles. If I could uninstall the expired VS Pro Trial, I should be able to install my VS Standard. Click on Advanced - the 'Debug Info' will most likely be set to pdb only. Could you try creating a new solution and then adding a small number of the projects from your existing solution to see if you are able to reverse engineer that As Ramesh says, it's possible that the size of the solution and the number of unloaded projects is causing a problem. The mix of C# and C++ projects shouldn't be an issue as that is a supported scenario.     - Passing Parameters to Stored Procedure in Report That code, that single statement, should work for the situation you've described. Most of my reports also use Stored Procedures (SPROCs) as their data source and the SPROC takes a parameter, which the report passes along to the database.
