I have a project which contains some C# classes and some WPF files. I would like to generate unit tests for my C# classes with Visual studio 2005's Test suite. When I right click on any of my classs' methods and click on "Create Unit tests", VS 2005 is not able to list the methods in my C# classes. I believe Visual studio is not able to parse through all the clases in the project and list all the existing methods.

If I remove the xaml files from the above project, I can see all the class methods in the "Create Unit Test" dialog wizard.

Does this mean that we won't be able to use "Create Unit Test" wizard in VS 2005 on a project that contains WPF files

If anyone has seen the same problem, could you please share some information with us.

The work around appears to be to temporarily remove the Xaml related files from the project, create the unit tests for the rest of the code as needed and then restore the Xaml related code.

Vijiv,

The previous work-around noted by Richard appears to be a good workaround. We have addressed this in the next version of Visual Studio (Visual Studio 2008) which is currently in Beta.

Thanks,

Ryan
