Is there no way to save the graphs in VSTE load test controller

I have several graphs that I use to view load tests. It takes me 10 or 20 minutes to get the graph JUST the way I want it, dozens of counters in a certain order with the color and range that makes sence (to me). Then the next day I have to repeat the same process all over again, AND make it just like the last one so I can compare them.

I would love to save these counter settings and add them to any load test I want, but reading several threads in this forum, it is just not possible

Thanks for your help...

Hello,

You can export your test results from the test results window (there is a button for exporting test run results), and afterwards, you can import them. Graphs are saved together with all counter and table information that was generated.

Hope this helps,

The graph settings should be being saved in your .SUO file. Are you deleting that file on a daily basis perhaps

Hi David,

Thanks for your reply.

I tried doing this, ( and several variations), but when I remove the old webtest from the loadtest and then add a new webtest and run it, all the custom counter settings disappear and are replaced by the default values...

I want to keep the same loadtest (with it's graphs, counters and settings) but replace the webtest. This of course is very easy to do, but every time I do it, I have to reconfigure the graphs and it's counters.

I'm starting to think I will have to create my own report that contains a graph I can reuse, which is very hard to do while thinking, there must be a way to save those graph settings in VS.

Thanks again for your help.

You're right, there is no graph template that you can set to make all of your graphs start out looking the same. That would be a pretty neat feature to add.
