Here's a good place to start for Visual Studio 2005:

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms950416.aspx

And here's a topic in MSDN on the .NET Framework:

.NET Development

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa139615.aspx

Have you decided on a language yet I highly recommend C#, which you should have no trouble picking up as a Java developer (regardless of the framework itself):

Visual C#

Hi Nadir,

Asking for "help regarding the .NET Framework" is like asking for instructions on how to build a space ship Wink

You'll have to do a lot of reading and experimentation on your own to learn about the framework. If you have specific questions you should choose the most appropriate forum (this forum is not appropriate for general .NET Framework questions). Here are Microsoft's general .NET Framework forums:

.NET Development

http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/default.aspx ForumGroupID=12&SiteID=1

And here's the VB.NET forums:

http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/default.aspx ForumGroupID=10&SiteID=1

To view all of the forums just click the MSDN Forums link in the breadcrumbs at the top of this page.
