Søren Grummesgaard

I receive an "invalid document url" in TeamPlain (ver. 1.0 Build 2641) when clicking a link to a document:

http://server.dom/docdownload.aspx pid=94&url=http%3a%2f%2fserver.dom%2fsites%2fTnT%2fLibrary%2fMy%2520Document.doc&basename=My%20Document.doc

If I change the decoding marked red above, the link works fine, ie change:

%3a%2f%2f to ://

first %2 after servername to /

and %25 to % (so %2520 becomes %20)

I have checked if the ISA server is involved, which is not the case. Please help.

Thanx, Soren

Hello S:

In IE 6 there was a deliberate code change made in order to be more conservative when dealing with dangerous characters.

This problem occurs if the URL for the hyperlink includes ¡°%20" instead of a space character.

From KB837865

Here is a way:

Please to disable normalisation on the HTTP filter to see if it works

Here are brief steps:

1. Start the ISA Server Management tool.

2. Expand ServerName, where ServerName is the name of your ISA Server computer.

3. Click Firewall Policy, click the Web publishing rule that you created to publish the Exchange Server computer for access by OWA users, and then click Edit Selected Rule.

4. Click the Traffic tab, click Filtering, and then click Configure HTTP.

5. Click to clear the Block high-bit characters check box, and then click OK two times.

6. Click Apply to update the firewall policy, and then click OK.

There is no ISA server in play here. To be 100% sure I have removed my proxy settings in internet explorer, and the same result occurs.

So unfortunately I don't see changing ISA server configuration will help.

Hi Soren,

I have investigated your issue but could not reproduce. I can suggest you to install the newer version of TeamPlain at this point. Here is the link: http://www.devbiz.com/teamplain/webaccess/download.aspx. Hope this helps.

Hello:

Here is an alternative way.

Try to upgrade your IE to IE 7 to see if it works

Thanks.

In IE 6 there was a deliberate code change (red code in your post)made in order to be more conservative when dealing with dangerous characters.

As far as I can see we are on the newest released version. But it seems like 2.0 RC is released soon. We have this problem on our test environment as well, so we will try installing 2.0 RC and see if that helps.

In the meantime, if anyone has a suggestion, please post it.
