I'm new to rdlc. When I create a new report I can see no Report header or footer sections.. just the "body"

How do I add a header or footer section please

With the report open in Visual Studio you should see a menu item "Report". Click this and then select "header" or "footer" or both. You can also click the little box in the top left corner of the report to expose these options also.

There is no reports menu that I can see ... I can get to Report properties. via right click of the Report name on the document outline screen or via the little box on the left hand top corner.. There I can see page header and page footer tick boxes.. but they are all disabled!!

I'm familiar with access repots and I have also used crystal. So I do have some experience in report writing. Obviously I am missing something here.

When I create a new report I get a body section that's all, no headers or footer sections...Is that normal..Maybe there's a template I can change .. Thankyou for any help.

Did you ever find out what the problem was here I have just started using it myself, and ran into the same problem.

Any suggestions would really be helpful!
