Hi all.

I am in the process of converting VS2003 projects to VS2005. After running the conversion wizard and attempting to compile, I'm finding nearly all of my project dependencies have been removed. I then need to manually go in and recheck all the necessary dependencies for each project. One solution file I am working with has 128 projects in it. Extremely time consuming! I have done a lot of searching on many forums and can not find an answer. Has anyone else had this problem Am I doing something wrong If I only had to do this once, I'd be fine with it. But I need to do this many times and I was hoping someone knew of a fix or workaround for this.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

The solution contains 128 MFC projects that build either static libraries or DLLs. It also includes the dependencies and build order to form the final product.

In this particular solution are no COM components, Web Services etc. involved.

Each one of my projects has a project dependency list associated with it. The problem occurs when trying to convert the 2003 solution to a 2005 solution. After the conversion wizard is complete, the project dependency list is either completely empty or missing most of the entries. I then need to manually walk through each project and reselect the dependencies.

Thanks

No one else is experiencing this problem That concerns me a bit. Does anyone have any thoughts as to what could be causing this The conversion process couldn't be any simpler. Open the 2003 solution with Visual Studio 2005, the wizard appears, two screens later it is now a 2005 solution. Except few, if any, of the project dependencys remain.

Thanks

Mr. Figo Fei,

I could really use some help with this. Please let me know if you do or do not have any answers for this problem. This is causing me a great deal of extra work having to manually set the project dependencies each time I run the conversion.

Thanks.
