Hello-

I am trying to undo another user's pending changes through the source control explorer, but the option is disabled on the context menu.

I am in the [Server]Team Foundation Administrators group and I am not in any group that is denied the permission to undo other users' changes.

I found a utility via another forum post that allows me to perform these operations outside the VS IDE, and it does allow me to undo other users' changes successfully, which indicates to me that there is not a problem with my security.

So why do I not have the option to undo another user's changes through the source control explorer Is there another method I should be using or is this not working as intended

Thanks in advance-

Greg

There is an excellent post from Mario Rodriguez on TFS Team about the very issue you are trying to resolve.

In a nutshell - it cannot be done through SCE (that's why there is external utility Smile.

Hope that helps,

Eugene

Thank you, that's what I was starting to believe but it helps to get the answer from the devs themselves.

Does anyone know if a future release will add more functionality like this to the GUI

As far as I know it is not part of Orcas release. As for the next release, I think you need to make your suggestions heard; perhaps through Microsoft Connect.

Cheers, Eugene
