I keep getting the error:

Info: ResolveReferenceLinksComponent: Preparing to query MSDN topic URL web service.
Warn: ResolveReferenceLinksComponent: Lookup of the asset ID 'content identifier
not found.' using the MSDN topic URL web service failed. The error message is:
content identifier not found.
Warn: ResolveReferenceLinksComponent: Lookup of the asset ID 'content identifier
not found.' using the MSDN topic URL web service failed. The error message is:
content identifier not found.
...
...

Any way of skipping the web service since it is not on the air.

thanx,
Jim

In sandcastle.config, you can set the type attribute for the <targets> element in the component's configuration to "none" for the files in the Cpref_reflection folder. If you're using the help file builder, set the SdkLinkType property to None.

Those warning occur often. It's just that it can't find an item online. Since there's a "bug" in the message, it doesn't tell you what it can't find it just repeats the error message for the ID. It think its stuff like the "R:Project" node and perhaps some of the compiler generated stuff for generic classes. If the web service were offline, it would fail when trying to connect to it and it would abort the build.
