    - Need to raise an event AFTER resizing finishes (custom user control) I have this custom user control inherited from UserControl and I need to raise an event just AFTER the user finishes the resizing process of the control. I tried to play around with the MouseDown and MouseUp events but one thing I realized, when you click on the control borders (or the little squares around each side of the control) to drag it and resize it, the MouseDown/MouseUp events are never fired. So I can't control it like that on the Resize() event. I basically have the following routine: Code Snippet if (DesignMode) { if (this.Pages != null && this.Pages.Count > 0) { foreach (PSPanel panel in this.Pages) { panel.Height = this.Height - this.ToolStripButtons.Height - 6; } } } And right now, I'm calling this on the OnSizeChanged event. However, this event is called a few times during the resize process and as you can see, the routine could be very exhaustive and I really wanted to be called only once after the user has finished the resize process, because that's exactly when I need to do the above code.     - Change BackColor of a textbox Hello everybody, I have a question regarding Color changing. I know I can change the backcolor of a textbox by doing Textbox1.BackColor = System.Drawing.Color.LimeGreen; But now I want to make a Settings datatable in a Database which contains some Colors The problem is a Datatable CAN'T contain a Color, so I want to do this by adding a String with the name of the color. In the example this would be "LimeGreen" Now I want to know if it is possible to do something like.     - Drop down list in designer for string property Let me first explain what my project is like. I have a custom component, myComponent, that contains a collection of strings. This collection is a custom collection as I am programming a Windows CE device in C#. myComponent has a property, Strings, to allow read and write access to the string collection.     - Dialog Result problem Dear All, I got a very simple problem where I pop-up a dialog. Then in the dialog I got 2 button so if I pressed submit and close and then I respectively set the DialogResult as DialogResult .OK and DialogResult .Ignore. So in my calling form I set 2 if statements. The problem here my form1 pop up twice which I suspect because of my in both my if and else has a form1.ShowDialog statement. So how can I avoid double pop-up.     - Error - System.IO.FileNotFoundException When text with Spaces entered in Custom User Interface Hi I am having Windows Service and a setup project for this service. In set up project I am taking inputs from user using UserInterface (TextBoxes (C) ) and Custom Action. However when User entered any thing with spaces in it my installer fails giving following error System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'file:///C:\WINDOWS\system32\With' or one of its dependencies.     - Embedded VB 3.0 and the iPaq H1940 Hello, I am tring to develop an application for the iPaq H1940 using embedded VB 3.0 and I get this error, The Platform Manager could not connect to the device. This happens if the project type does not match the connected device, or if a required file in Windows CE SErvices, or the Platform SDK is missing or corrupt.     - My Splash Form Is Not Updating When I Start It! I created a form/Splash in VC# 2005 and for some reason everytime I start the form up. Its not updating the form!     - Datagridview Combobox Column, a little help. I'm using the datagridview with the columnbox column. Everything is binding to my object for the most part. The real problem is that I absolutely need it to update the object value when I pick a different choice in the combobox. Right now the value only gets updated when I move off of the combobox cell.     - Datagrid I have a populated datagrid control(Tbl1 and database 1) on a MDI parent bound through databinding and I am trying to populate the child form with text boxes (Tbl1 and database 2) based on the Customer ID from the grid (Customer ID is a common column for database1/Tbl1 and database2/Tbl2). At present the textboxes on the childform are bound to Tbl1/database2 through databinding. My question is how can I link both the MDI parent and the child together so when the when the user points on the row on the datagrid and clicks the Display child form button the child form displays filtered information specific to that CUSTOMER ID from TBL1 and database 2.     - Clickonce not autoupdating I have a clickonce application that I have publish and installed on a client pc. When I do a second publishing (second version) via the IDE (VS 2005) I can get the updates via the client by just starting the clickonce app on the client. But if do the subsequent versions via MSBuild and publish the same project file I can NOT get the client pc to get the updates. WHy .....what can I do in MSBuild to have the clickonce client get the updates....I have try to override the properties by using /p:UpdateEnable="true" /p:UpdateRequired="true" but didn't do the trick..     - Windows Control in IE, Problem Accessing Database, Strong Name doesn't seem to work I am developing a Windows Control for distribution via IE. The control accesses a database. In troubleshooting, I built the control with a button. The control comes up fine but when the button is clicked to access the database, I error on "Application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by security policy." I traced this to a strong name problem, but can't get the strong name to work in the control - it does work in a Windows application.     - Stopping processes before uninstalling. Hi. I'm not sure if this is the place for my questions, but the context of my problem is a setup project, I thought I'd start here. I have a custom install class that will launch my application after I install it. Now I want to use the same class to close the application, if it's running, before it uninstalls. I added a custom action class for the install and uninstall events. I can get the launch to work, but I am not getting the program to close. VS 2005 Prof, WIN XP.

I lost ability to open forms.

Now each attempt to do this cause message such as "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in devenv.exe [1892]" and VS 2005 restart. Reinstallation vs2005 and SP1 installation have no results to this problem. The building and execution - all OK. Opening form in code view - OK.

What can I do

Not good!

Sounds like the code in your form is causing that. Are you calling any API's from your form code

It might also have something to do with Anti Virus software detecting 'malicious code'.

Or is it that you cannot veiw any form, even a fresh one that you create in a new project.

Yes. That error was firstly appeared after removing some trojans.

Under WinXP safemode - all OK. Forms open. Under normal mode - No. Where the cause is

Yesterday NOD32 detected win32\TrojanProxy.Wopla.NAC (kprof and poof files in \windows\system32) and win32/Small.NBX (msvcrtg.exe in \windows\system32). Today I has removed that files. Forms open! Both for managed C++ and C#. What animals that trojans are
