Hello.

I have One MainForm for my system. This MainForm is MDIContainer. From that form, i call other forms that are MDIContainers too. So, when i try to open one of this childForms from the MainForm

frmTemp.MdiParent = this; // frmTemp is a ChildForm i am trying to create which is a MDI container. "this" is the mainForm

frmTemp.Show();

i get this error.

Form cannot be both an MDI child and MDI parent. Parameter name: value

Is there any workaround about this

the design of my software almost force me to use this type of architecture.

Thanks

All you can do is frmTemp.Show(this) without setting the MdiParent.

You guessed right. You might want to review your UI design.
