Hi there

Can anyone tell me an easy way to display a hint when the mouse is over an object I don't want to use MessageBox.Show() on mouseHover or mouseOver. What I want is a hint to appear automatically for a few seconds on mouse hover then disappear.

In Delphi there is a property (Hint) to do this - is there an equivalent in C#

Thanks in advance

If you want the balloon help style tip, look into the ToolTip form control, it adds to the form and can specify tool tips for each object on the form.

Once you add the ToolTip to the form, a property will be added to each form control for the ToolTip text setting.

add a tooltip and call tooltip.show() method in the object's mousehover event. you will need to hide the tooltip in the mouseleave event.
