is there a way to control excel from visual basic say for example, enter data in real time and show a graph that changes in real time.

What i am realy trying to do is display a graph that changes in real time. The source data in simple array of integers. Is excel the easiest way to do this

Noticed under toolbar>choose toolbox items>com components>

microsoft office charts 10.0

but no documentation. Is this something that can be used to display real time changing display of data

Hi,

If all you really need is show a graph in real-time, itwould be much better to use a graphing component/library instead of Excel.

You could look at the free ZedGraph graph library. It works quite decently.

Using Excel through interop is quite heavy and slow.
