Hi Everyone,

I have had a look around regarding this and tried some suggestions to no avail. So I thought I would see if anyone could help me.

Users have just started experiencing Time Out Errors on a production system (vb.net, sql2000, iis 6.0) that i built a year ago and has been in production for 4 month.

The database is only 130MB big. On a monthly basis I run a job to update the Database Indexes.

This problem seems to be database related, as the problem also started occurring on the Development Server when I restore the Production Database on it.

The things I have tried are:
- Rebuilding the Database Indexes
- Adding objCmd.CommandTimeout = 0 to my vb.net code
- Adding Connection Timeout=0; to the Database Connection string.
- Using SQL Profiles, however, this didn't really make much sense to me.

I have also noticed that when i execute an application specific sproc to
insert data, this seems to respond really quickly. but when executing an application specific sproc to deactivate or update data this generally times out. I do plan to start looking closer at these sprocs, but was hoping that someone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks.
