    - crazy behavior - PLEASE HELP I am using insertAdjacentHTML() to inject a block of javascript into a web page. The script simply searches for some elements in a TABLE on the page and modifies the attribs on them. The script shows no UI. PRB: The script doesn't always run upon injection. I have no clue why.     - DHTML node inserted event I'm currently working on a project with MSHTML where I need to respond when a node is inserted into an HTML document that is currently displayed in the browser. Is there any event which IE throws that I could use as an indicator that this happened I've already looked at the DOMNodeInserted event (which would be perfect if IE fired it) and the property change event (which doesn't fire for innerHTML). Is there something I'm missing Also, there are cases where I need to respond to changes in third-party websites, so I will be unable to actively call my response function directly; this is by nature reactionary, I just need to know what to react to.     - Inconsistent WM_SIZE events Hello, I have discovered another strange thing about how my toolbar is getting resized when IE7 is started and when the IE window is minimized: I output the dimensions retrieved by GetClientRect in the WM_SIZE event of my toolbar. The values correspond the the lParam message value.     - How to obtain text properties Hey all I'm building a screen reader as a college project with the key feature of pointing at a word on IE with the mouse cursor and obtaining the word under the cursor's position. I found how to obtain a group of words using MS's Active Accessibillty features, BUT in order to obtain that single word my mouse courser is pointing at, I need the text properties (length width...) of that group of words which I"m pointing at.     - Error in the COM Ole viewer I'm using VS orcas to develop a Toolbar for IE. I compiled several little tests without any trouble. I based my work on the project from Pavel Zolnikov after having made my own BHO from scratch so I begin to understand the architecture of these add ons. But I'm a newbie in the COM world. Her comes the description of the trouble : I can see the toolbar in the IE components manager; in the display toolbar menu. But nothing happens anymore when I try to display the toolbar (it was working before with the same source code and between two compilations, I just added one resource to the project and removed it after). So I checked the registration of the component. The keys in the registry seem to be all there. When I take the OLE COM viewer provided with the SDK I can see the component that I've developed under the .NET category but when I try to see the interfaces that the component implements/inherits by clicking on the little '+' button, I get an error "CoGetClassFailed". I think that's why the component can't be loaded anymore, but I don't know how to fix it. Some research on google didn't provided me any relevant link to fix this issue. Any idea I tried to recreate a project from scratch and copy 'n paste all the source code in new files. But nothing changed. I tried to change the namespace and the class name to register under another name, change the GUID...but I still get this error.     - Happens with Apache 2 / Perl as well Pages using PHP sessions and external javascript in the head portion of the html document and which served from IIS 6 to IE 7 are not refreshing properly (displays blank on refresh). I have a full description of it here including the minimal source to create the error. If I manually create my own content-length header it works. This problem did not happen in IE 6 and will affect all php sites served from IIS 6 to IE 7 that use sessions.     - Injecting Script tag into current document Hi everybody, I'm building a BHO in .NET and i'm testing with IE7 and Win XP Professional. My intention is to do something that is really simple to explain but I'm having lot of troubles at building time. I need to on DocumentComplete event: 1) add some javascript script s to the current document 2) after step 1 is complete call a simple Javascript function located in one of the js file I added before 3) This script just adds a little style to some words on any document loaded into IE window. Step 3 is done with no problems but I'm having problems with the first to steps. I tried by different ways (document.parentWindow.execScript, document.body.insertAdjacentHTML for example) but in every way I tested when I add a DIV everything works ok but I tried to add a script then nothing happens. Any ideas Any help I give you an example so you can understand better...     - IE 7 opening to Run Once page with error on it. I downloaded updates last week. I have been using IE7 for a while with no problem. I dwnloaded the updates. Now when I open my browser the page tries to go to http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx . There is an error reported for this page and it will not open up I get a blue screen. How do I eliminate this I have my home page set in the tools section but when opening it won't go to my home page until I hit the home button on the tool bar. If I place an order on one item and then order then same item again, Amazon.com will ask me to verify if I want to place duplicate order or cancel the duplicate one.     - IE7 cookie problem Can anyone help with the following. When I log on to a web page, a session is created and saved using in-proc cookies which are saved in the IE7 client browser. When a new window is opened in the same session and then closed, the cookies are deleted and the session is lost, even though the first window is still opened. The session was not closed. This happens only on certain PCs, not always and only with IE7 . This problem is only with IE7, all other browsers are ok. Hi I'm wondering if anyone knows how to detect when a tab changes in IE My toolbar has to detect when a) A tab changes site (This I already do by Navigate and DocumentComplete) b) When you change between tabs (this I have no idea how to do).     - IE 7 Select Box Options do not fit large text Hey guys, I've searched high and low for this issue through this forums Search as well as Google and I cannot find any solution. I currently have a form with a dropdown box (<select>) and a few options. The text in these options can be a small string of text or it could be a longer string of text. In FireFox, when the text is too long, it automatically resizes the options to fit the largest peice of text. In IE 7 however, the options are the same size as the dropdown itself and therefore the longer strings of text are cut off and cannot be seen. Is there a fix for this somehow ! Any suggestions for a way to get an extension for IE in protected mode to communicate with some other process After googling for a while, I've learned that it can't be done with remoting ipc channel (unless i disable protected mode, and that is not an option), however, there are download managers working on IE7 vista even in protected mode. Is there any way to accomplish this Does SendMessage work

UIPI will block many sent messages from protected-mode IE. You'll probably need to create a Medium-IL broker process to receive the messages from the extension.

Thanks for your answer. I've decided to go for a tcp remoting channel, it's slower, but that's the easiest answer i can see for now. And it works.
