I'm using IE 7, and working with an ASP.NET page. If I click on a form field (textbox or textarea on this page) at the same time that one of my regular expression validators fires (making the page move down a bit), my text caret appears in a non-editable, standard HTML section of the page. I can then type away, or use backspace to remove static HTML that was there. If I press the enter key, the text caret moves to the field I initially tried to click on.

Any ideas on what might be going wrong I've captured a short video demonstrating this strange behavior. It is available at http://screencast.com/t/W6uzr4Sta5.
