i am having a problem with IE7.

whenever i try to view a pdf document from any site i get an

object expected

error

i am a reasonably advanced user and have tried adjusting the manage add-ons in the programs tab of the internet options to no avail.

my environment is such:

windows server 2003 web edition

kaspersky antivirus

ie 7

adobe professional 6.0

no third party firewall

direct adsl connection.

has anyone had an exprience like this and if so how did you solve it without re-installing.

I have the same pronlem like that also ..Try to Uninstall and Reinstall Adobe for so many times also can't solve that ..Until I open Another of my PC which have IE7 and Adobe 6 .. Compare two IE7 setting .. Solve that PROBLEM !!

Open IE7 > Tools > Advanced > Security > Allows Active content to run in files on My Computer > Unsellect that oction >

Close all IE7 > try to open PDF file in web ..It work for me .. I can see pdf files in IE7 again !!

Your simple solution also works in my PC.

I tried before to reinstall Acrobat without succes.

I've been a long time looking for a solution and can not beleive it is so simple!

Wow, thanks a lot, after few days of pain trying to fix the problem with all imaginable tools, this solution finally worked for me, who could imagine that a small thing like that could solve the problem. Thanks again
