Hi
I developed already some extensions for Mozillfa Firefox but I'm more Interested in .net and Windows development in general.
I want now to develop something like a helloworld extension for IE7, but I haven't realy an idea how to start.
Do you have any links/tips or tutorials for me

Thanks in advance

Jan

I am planning on also writing a Internet explorer add on but can't find any guide. There is so much out there about writing extensions for firefox. This is so typical of Microsoft. Charging people for addons and then not giving developers any guides to create their own. I'm sick of Microsoft just thinking of money and not end users and developers.

All I've found is this:

http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2005/09/06/461675.aspx

but all the msdn pages have been removed so they don't work which is useless.

Edit: ok I've found some. http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa753587.aspx but this also has some missing links, it's terribly out of date and doesn't have much information but it's better than nothing. This is very poor from Microsoft.

Also this is probably your best source although it's written in c++ and I thought Microsoft were pushing for people to use c#:

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb250489.aspx

There's this in C# http://www.codeproject.com/cs/samples/autosig.asp but it's very old. Probably should work though

Wayneo, thanks for the bug report. I'll see if I can get the IE Blog guys to update that post.
