When the compression is enabled on a iis directory serving asp pages, the contet-disposition header isn't handled correctly by IE (6.0.3790.1830 SP1 3283).

The dialog shows the name of the asp page instead.

In my page I do

call Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition","attachment;filename=SampleFile.txt" )

Will this problem be fixed

Is there a workaround

Re: Internet Explorer Web Development Content-disposition header not handled with iis compression enabled

Opened a request into MS.

The problem is known in ie6 and won't be fixed. :-(

IE7 didn't have the problem.
