*Original post of the working solution for XP Pro was posted by 'Ell 550' but modified by me because he forgot the ADMINISTRATIVE TEMPLATES portion in the description below.

Hello, i had the same problem but i know the answer on how to fix it!!!

you don't need to reinstall anything, here's how you do it:

Go to start then click run, in the box type gpedit.msc

once this is open you should find a window comes up with a menu down the left hand side,

click the COMPUTER CONFIGURATION little + sign to expand the view,

then click the ADMINISTRATIVE TEMPLATES little + sign to expand the view,

then click the WINDOWS COMPONENTS little + sign to expand the view,

then Double-click on the INTERNET EXPLORER Folder and look for the setting called

"Prevent performance of first run customize settings"

Double_click on this, then click the enabled button, after click the down arrow in the box below and choose the option which says

"go directly to IE page" (i used "go directly to homepage") then click apply then ok

there you go this will now be fixed (verified by me)

Big Thanks to you, Ell 550 for this perfect solution!___SgtRlee
