Hi ,

i have problem in checking registry settings of internet explorer for the following section:

1. In Internet Explorer, click Internet Options (or Options) on the View menu.
2.

On the General tab, click Settings --->'check for newer versions of stored pages'

in this section it always shows 'Automatically' as default option so i want to change this setting to 'every vist to the page' as default.

for this i have refered the following article from microsoft:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/201535

But in thier solution they have mentioned about 4.x,5.x ,they did not explained about 6.x.

so my question is for IE 6.0 in which section of registry i can see these above mentioned settings.

Can i change/modify these registry settings programatically using c# ,asp.net

Regards,

Re: Internet Explorer Web Development how to see registry settings of 'check for newer versions of stored pages' in IE 6.0 VERSION

coolnetguy

same syncmode5 is also available for IE 6.0.

Also I am able to change the registry setting for syncmode5 programmatically using vb.net and c#.

But when I want to do the same thing with asp.net and c# combination I am not able to change the registry Value for syncmode5 key.

Please provide me any thought on this why it is working for windows and why not in web mode.
