Although I know I can get HTMLAnchorElement with InternetExplorerClass representing <A> in IE, I am not sure if I can direct trigger the javascript within <A> with the off-the-shelf API of HTMLAnchorElement. I am working on an application which uses a lot of CSS for dynamic layouts as well as dynamic fields in which the sizes (width and heigth) are set in percentages so that screen resolution is not a display issue. In other words, the field sizes are dynamically relative to the screen resolution. I am encountering a problem though; it concerns textareas. When the textarea loads a very long unspaced string (a silly thing that shouldn't happen in the real-world but hey, it's part of the test cases...), the string never actually goes to the next line nor does a horizontal scrollbar appear. It just increases the width of the textarea to fit that one very long String into one line. What I want is the textbox to either rely on vertical scrollbars or skip lines. Under Firefox I get the vertical scrollbars which is nice. How can I force one these behaviour under IE I've type using the 'wrap' attribute and 'word-wrap' under CSS but no dice.     - IE7 div not stretching to fill width I keep getting this and I can't find the fix to it anywhere.... please help! When a div doesn't have enough content to fill the width of the area the div doesn't fill the whole width. A gap will appear at the end of the div in IE7 browsers. I don't want to have to set fixed widths for the middle content section so that it can shrink to fit re-sizing the browser. I've tried everything I can think of. Setting the width to 100% breaks it because the left navigation pane or right pane will no longer float. It's probably something really obvious so I can't find it on blogs. I'm testing activex and IE7. My activex works with IE6 but I try it with IE7 it doesn't work....

I got:

Do you get an error if you manually regsvr32 mydll.dll on the target machine I suspect you need to change your C++ code-generation to use a statically-linked version of the ATL and VC runtime libraries.
