Hi,
Your question has nothing to do with IE7 Extension development. You can find the answer in the IE7 Help - Help>Contents and Index menu.
Reproduced here.
To do this | Press this |
---|---|
Open links in a new tab in the background | CTRL+click |
Open links in a new tab in the foreground | CTRL+SHIFT+click |
Open a new tab in the foreground | CTRL+T |
Switch between tabs | CTRL+TAB or CTRL+SHIFT+TAB |
Close current tab (or the current window if tabbed browsing is disabled) | CTRL+W or ALT+F4 |
Open a new tab in the foreground from the Address bar | ALT+ENTER |
Switch to a specific tab number | CTRL+n (where n is a number between 1 and 8) |
Switch to the last tab | CTRL+9 |
Close other tabs | CTRL+ALT+F4 |
Toggles Quick Tabs (thumbnail view) on or off | CTRL+Q |
Regards.
Hi
Thank you for reply. And I'm not sure where is the correct place to submit my problem.
But your answer did not solve it. the problem is that this function:
Open links in a new tab in the background | CTRL+click |
is not working properly, it opens a new window with home-page contents in the foreground or a blank window if home-page is set to blank.
In fact I use the middle mouse button istead.
Thank You
It seems you didn't read the question as I'm having the same problem, and your list didn't help; I know what to press; it doens't do the job anymore. Using CTRL + Shift opens a new browser with associated home pages, not a new TAB with the URL I requsted; that is lost. What has happened in IE7 and how do I fix it Dan
I have the same problem with IE 7. I hold down the ctrl key, lick on a link and IE 7 opens a new browser window with a blank page. I cannot open the url from the link I clicked in a new Tab. If a Microsoft employee is monitoring this site, this is a un-common bug and I have been unable to locate a fix. Re-installing IE 7 does not work, and I suspect the controlset registry settings are corrupted.
I am having the same issue, and no one seems to have solved this one yet.
Reinstalling IE7 did nothing. I am using RoboForm toolbar as my only add-on.
I tried running without add-ons, and problem persists.
