The way to make it visible is to use ShowBrowserBar in SetSite which seems fine, however what isn't clear is whether this will be saved when IE is restarted. Also, is it possible to determine if the toolbar has been disabled (in the view menu) so as to not activate it everytime and respect the users wishes What i'd like to do is enable the toolbar the first time the BHO is started and then have it appear every other time IE is started automatically until the user disables it in the view menu. It should then stay hidden until enabled in the view menu. This is all standard Win32 popup menu stuff, with a little bit of interop magic to make it work in C#. As mentioned before, the problem with this approach right now is that the LBM_Up_Handler is never called while the menu is displayed. If we can get this resolved, we can use the standard Win32 way of handling popup menus to insert and remove menu items from the standard menu. In reference to your comment about Yahoo, I wouldn't know how they do things there. However, I will say that if IE actually provided a decent way of appending dynamic items onto the standard menu without breaking others' extensions, there would be no hacking (or "Win32 magic") necessary. But you work with what you're given, and the method above I think works well without seeming too hackish or relying on features that are likely to be removed.     - Can't get Explorer Bar to work in C# Hi, I have been unable to figure this out. I found a few online articles about writing Explorer bars and bands, but for some reason I can only ever get the band object to display. I don't even see a listing under View->Explorer Bars to enable it, only under Toolbars. I did check the registry entries, they look good. My code is essentially the same as posted at this article: http://www.codeproject.com/csharp/dotnetbandobjects.asp On that page it shows a screenshot with the control displayed twice on the screen. Once as a band, and then as a Horizontal Explorer Bar. I have never been able to see my system load an Explorer Bar written in C#. That's what I really want to do. I'm running VS 2005, so I manually put in the changes required for that. I'm running IE 7, it's possible it may work as an Explorer Bar in an older version, I don't know.     - IE7 div not stretching to fill width I keep getting this and I can't find the fix to it anywhere.... please help! When a div doesn't have enough content to fill the width of the area the div doesn't fill the whole width. A gap will appear at the end of the div in IE7 browsers. I don't want to have to set fixed widths for the middle content section so that it can shrink to fit re-sizing the browser. I've tried everything I can think of. Setting the width to 100% breaks it because the left navigation pane or right pane will no longer float. It's probably something really obvious so I can't find it on blogs. Scenario: 1) Server with MS CRM 3.0 and some custom client-side scripts applied to CRM elements (OnChange, OnLoad handl;ers etc.) 2) PC A with IE7 installed 3) PC B with IE6 installed 4) PC C with IE7 installed Problem is, that some (not all!) JavaScript events are just not fired on PC A and PC B. At the same time, same code form same server are running perfectly well on PC C! OnLoad events are working everywhere. OnChange - almost never on PC A and PC B. I tried to make every change I could think of in IE security settings - it didn't help. During making chaotic changes to IE settings on PC A I managed to make events fire normally - but when I closed IE window and re-opened it - every problem returned back. Event handler code is written on javascript and it does not matter whats inside - even alert("test"); is not working.     - IE7 disabling navigation sounds by thread Hi, I am trying to suppress IE sounds occuring when navigation is complete (I use an ActiveX browser control). To achieve this, I am using the CoInternetSetFeatureEnabled function. It works fine with the SET_FEATURE_ON_PROCESS flag, but as it disables any sounds in case of each browser control amongst the application, it would be better to use a more specific solution, so SET_FEATURE_ON_THREAD (or SET_FEATURE_ON_THREAD_LOCALMACHINE) comes into consideration. I am developping IME For Windows System.
When I loading IME in IE7 in Vista,I find that if IE7 run In
Protected Model The IME not Working.
if IE7 not run In Protected Model,The IME is normal .
the problem is that IME send messages to IE7,and IE7 send these
messages to IME UI,but in protected model the IME UI can't
receives the messages,thus the IME can't display compostion window and
candidate window,how to solve it.

If you call ChangeWindowMessageFilter for the messages you expect to receive from IE, your IME should operate as expected.
