Hi,

I am trying to publish a web service using the CSF UDDI Tool . It fails with the error "User Login Failed" . I checked the eventvwr and found the following UDDI Runtime error (Event 174)

verify failed: UDDI_ERROR_AUTHTOKENREQUIRED_NOTOKENPUBLISHATTEMPT.

And the strange behaviour is observed today .I had previously published many web services on the same box using the same tool! I tried publishing the old web services again and got the same error. I am confused as to why the error is coming up suddenly.

The only change to the machine I had done before this error occurred is that I had changed the IP address. Could this be a problem But I tried setting the old IP address again, but still faced the above error.

Do I need to set the credential for this tool in some config file somewhere I found no config files in the folder where the UDDITool.exe is situated

Please help !

Thanks in advance...

Hi,

I have a doubt that the IE security settings have been changed. Please goto Tools->Internet Options->Security Tab Click on 'Custom Level' button and scroll to the bottom. In the User Authentication section see what option has been choosen for Logon. Select the option "Automatic Logon Only In Intranet Zone".

Try this and see if it works.

Regards

Vikram

Thanks Vikram.Problem was something else!

I had modified the inetmgr settings at the web site level , while I was trying out something else. So, the security settings for the uddi visrtual directory had changed to Windows Integrated. When I tried changing it to Basic authentication, the above error disappeared and I could publish services as before!
