Hi,

I guess you wanna build a DashBoard (Graphical User Interface), please use the SimpleDashBoard Service as a reference.

The source code is in:

...\Microsoft Robotics Studio (1.5)\samples\Misc\SimpleDashboard

Another thing you wanna look at is how to change stuff on the dashboard at runtime, it's a little different from the normal winform. Here's the link that helped me:

http://channel9.msdn.com/ShowPost.aspx PostID=324278 (thanks to orad)

I hope you should be able to figure out from here, because the rest are just implementing the C#'s System.Windows.Forms class.

Don't forget to add these lines at the top of your code:

using Microsoft.Ccr.Adapters.WinForms;

using System.Windows.Forms;

And add the corresponding references !

Hope it helps,

Take a look at the coroware pluspack, which lets you embed video as a texture map:
http://www.coroware.com/pluspack.aspx

I haven't used it in a while, but I think that you're limited to embedding feeds from simuated cameras.

Wow,

That pluspack looks impressive man!

I didnt know you could make changes to the Simulation Enviroment.

If possible could you show me how to create the text billboard I undestand that this is part of the Coroware's product. Still, the idea of having such Text BillBoard is neat!

Some tips on how to create something similar to that is greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

I don't know if it is what you are after, but my modified Dashboard allows you to display the output from a webcam in a separate window. You could copy the code and then record the video any way you wanted to. You can get it as part of the package from:

http://sky.fit.qut.edu.au/~taylort2/MSRS/

There are also examples in the tutorials for capturing and replaying video. If you have a webcam on your simulated robot then it should be easy to grab the video.

By the way, I've just had another look at the CoroWare PlusPak, and it is still an old pre-release version for MSRS V1.0. I hope that they update it to V1.5 some time soon.

The forum isn't a very good place to explain how to construct a video sprite because it involves quite a bit of code and explanation. I will add this to our list of desired samples.

Another option is for you to purchase the Coroware plus pack which already has this functionality.
