Sara Morgan

My name is Sara Morgan and this summer I will be writing a book on MSRS for MS Press. The book will not be available until the end of the year or early next year.

If you have topics that want to see included or specific information that you think should be incorporated, please feel free to send me email at sara.rea@custsolutions.net and I will do my best to see that it is included. I will also let everyone know when the book becomes available for pre-order.

Thanks,

Sara Morgan

Hi Sara,

It would be really nice if you include in your book how to create an entity such as a sensor or an actuator from scratch and how to create services to control the sensor and the actuator or other entities.

Hi,

Thanks for the input. I do plan on including a section for creating your own services to operate unsupported hardware. I have already extended a 3 wheeled robot named ARobot (www.robotics.com) to include a laptop riding on the robot (the robot only costs $300, as opposed to the Pioneer which is a lot more) and I am creating the services to run it. I am trying to include as much as I can to supplement the documentation with MSRS and not to repeat it.

Thanks,

Sara

Thanks Sara, I am really eager to get my hands on that book. Have a fun time writing the book. I'll keep updating you of anything else I would like to be included in the book. Since I am also working with MicroRobots, if you can do please include something about it too.
