    - Help required to test a new CAD package [apologies if this is in the wrong forum] Hi, I am currently testing out a new program I am devloping for my MSc in Computer Science. Its a 3D architectural sketching package designed for rapid prototyping called KSketch. I would really like some opinions on the usability and usefulness of this program from people who are involved in architectural design (even from thos who are not).     - Getting the id of the hosting WPF/E control Let me make sure I understand the issue. You create a couple instances of WPF/E controls on a page, each with a unique id. I'm assuming you do this via the agHost function or directly via OBJECT/EMBED tags. In each case you've set the id. Any time later, you should be able to use document.getElementById(<id_you_created_the_object_with>) to get the control instance. Is this not working Update: Posted too soon.     - Vista - MS MovieMaker and MFT filter - is it supposed to work? I've created a MFT filter that transforms our own video format to RGB. The video is recorded in asf file. The filter works in WMP, but when I run the MS MovieMaker and try to play the video, it does not call my IMFTransform methods at all. Please advise! Beside, GUI will consume same thread/process space with your timer based job routine, if you choose Forms approach.     - Visual web dev express and ihdsim interaction In the full version of VS you can run arbitrary external commands via the Tools -> External Tools... menu option. There you can specify the command-line to run the EXE and use a few built-in VS variables to point to output paths etc. For example, if you have any HDi code up in a VS window, the following "external tool" will run the associated playlist: Title: &HDiSim [The '&' makes the 'H' the access key for the menu item] Command : C:\path\to\HDiSim.exe Arguments : -p $(ItemDir)VPLST000.XPL [Note no slash after $(ItemDir)] Initialial Directory : $(ItemDir) If you want a shortcut key, go to Tools -> Customise... , then click the Keyboard... button. In the Show commands containing text box, type in ExternalCommand and then pick the one for your HDiSim (mine is at the top of the list, so it is #1) and then pick a shortcut key and assign it. I chose Ctrl+` (back-tick) since that is easy to hit and unused :-) As for script debugging, it doesn't appear to work in Express; it may need full VS, but you can use the script debugger. Then at the "General Tab" I unchecked the "Filter Duplicated URL". So now only two boxes are checked at the "General Tab": (i) "Add Ad Hunter to browser right click menu", and (ii) "Replace blocked Ad with (!)". I used QOS Traffic control API for DSCP and it was successful. I follow to same way that DSCP but it don't work. I looked on the net but many people have the same problem and there are not answer.     - KnowledgeNavigator Aliq, Thank you. I've made so many application icons I rather forget but I remember this one. I made it with photoshop. The is an Aussie who has a photoshop icon plugin and he'd appreciate a $5.00 donation through paypal. he can easily be found by googling photoshop + icon. I think the little abstractions were made with Imageready. And there is another aspect. The icon is actually several icons od several sizes and the final multi-sized output was processed by a prgram from VBAccelerator called AlphaIconCreator. It's simple and wonderful! You start with a working frame that's large( a binary multiple of the size icon you want and of the same prortions) and one that has a high resolution. 480 x 480 is good. Ok the other question is a biggy. Obviously each webBrowser/editor control has a lot of functionality and many states to manage. It's a 23 page class. All of its internal controls are dynamic and the class is basically a tabpage so the class is instantiated and added to the tabpage collection of the tabcontrol. I am so gald you have found it useful and I intend to add updated databases. Many of us are looking at the idea of an SQL version with an SQL server on the net for a large collective knowledgebase. And yes you are right about the X control. That's on my things to do list. I use KN almost exclusively on these fora. I'm trying to do freetext search on the site which should include displayname and productid as part of the search. Seems I can't make the build in properties freetextsearchable though. Any idea other than add custom properties replicate the data

We tried to modify the xml we used to load the data into the Catalog. You can give it a try.
