PurpleMan

Hello everybody, this is my first post.

I have been trying for a long time to get Scenarist ACA to accept my input h264 files. Whenever I try to drag a file to the assets window I get the message:

"The software that's used to decode the media is not available on this system."

First of all, let me say that I have all the neccesary decoders (directshow) to decode the file. I can render the file successfully using graphedit, and it also plays from Windows Media Player.

In addition, the exact same file loads without any problem to Scenarist SCA.

I tried files encoded with both Sonic CineVision and MainConcept H264 Encoder in all possible profiles.

But the problem remains - no matter what I do - Scenarist ACA just won't accept the file as a valid input, and the error keeps popping up.

If anyone can shed some light on the subject and offer some help, I'd appreciate it very much.

Thanks in advance,

-PurpleMan

Do you have Nero installed on the same system as SACA If so, remove Nero and more than likely your problem will be solved.

Indeed you are correct!!

Should note tho that it was enough to just unregister all of nero's (sucky) directshow filters.

I looked all over the net for an answer to this one - THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Welcome! And thanks for the tip on just unregistering the filters. That's a much better solution.
