SOAC

i am comparing my windows files verses my old c++ file.

My old c++ file has been running for one year.

the data flow in both programs is correct.

i compare the c++ file to the windows file and the data matches.

then for some reason i get 250k of squares in my windows file. the

square has no virtual code that i can find

i think the program is reading past the totalgaragesize.

any ideas

otherwise i like windows.

if i could get the vitual code for the sqaure, i could block them out, if they do not multiply.

i can catch them before they randomly spread about

i need the virtual code, it is not in any of the literature i have

it looks like they spawn form location 0000 in my database, and not all the time

help !!!!!!

this is not a problem, that i can fix !!!!

the c++ code in my orginal program is the same as the c++ code in my windows program, except for the beep and command to build a progress bar, do u think i should remove this code

void out_of_state(){

MessageBeep(0);

for(keep=1;keep<=10000;keep++){}

MessageBeep(0);

for(keep=1;keep<=10000;keep++){}

MessageBeep(0);

for(keep=1;keep<=10000;keep++){}

MessageBeep(0);

// HINSTANCE g_hinst = NULL;

// HWND hwndParent = NULL;

// INITCOMMONCONTROLSEX lpInitCtrls;

// lpInitCtrls.dwSize = sizeof(INITCOMMONCONTROLSEX);

// lpInitCtrls.dwICC = ICC_PROGRESS_CLASS|PBS_MARQUEE;

//HWND hwndPBA;

//hwndPBA = CreateWindowEx(0,PROGRESS_CLASS,(LPCWSTR) NULL , WS_CAPTION|WS_VISIBLE, 100, 100, 600, 35,NULL ,NULL ,NULL, NULL);

// hwndPBA = CreateWindowEx(0,PROGRESS_CLASS,(LPCWSTR) NULL ,WS_VISIBLE, 100,100, 600, 35, hwndParent, NULL, g_hinst, NULL);

count_click = garsize/10;

again=1;

matches=0;

for(loop=0;loop<=garsize;loop++){

//if(loop == again*count_click){SendMessage(hwndPBA,PBM_STEPIT,0,0);again++;}

for(i=0;i<=1000*delay;i++){};

for(deep=0;deep<=49;deep++){

if(garage_array_database1[18][loop]==state_names[0][deep]){

if(garage_array_database1[19][loop]==state_names[1][deep]){

for(dep=0;dep<=20;dep++){

out_of_state_bin[dep][matches]=garage_array_database1[dep][loop];

}

deep=60;

matches++;

}}}}

qq=0;

for(deep=0;deep<=matches;deep++){

for(dep=0;dep<=20;dep++){

q[qq]=out_of_state_bin[dep][deep];

qq++;

}}

qq=0;

deep=matches*21;

fopen_s(&xone,"xoutst.day","w+");

for(qq=0; qq<=deep; qq++){

fputc(q[qq],xone);

}

_fcloseall();

os_matches=matches;

}

It should work, except i do not know where those squares are coming from!!!!!

any ideas

i removed all the calls to the progressbar, and i still got squares. This part of the program looks just like my original C++ program and it should work the same, but i still get squares. I was thinking, maybe the squares represent duplicate numbers!!!! 150k of squares!!!!!

help!!!!! HELP !!!! help !!!!!

Re: Windows Desktop Search Development squares in database

The program was working correctly, just as the code was. Except

garsize = 7502;

forced the database to extend it's range from,

garsize = 5000;

quit simple, sorry for all the bad vibs.

It,s working great. YES MICROSOFT i didn' say that!!!! must be my kid!!!!!

so very close, and a X button away.

this feels great, i can do windows.
