Hi All,

I have disabled the 'Prevent indexing Microsoft Office Outlook' and 'Prevent indexing uncached Exchange folders' policies but WDS still doesn't shows Outlook in indexable paths in 'Indexing Options' window. Could someone tell me the procedure of confirming whether outlook is properly configured for WDS indexing or not

Thanks,

Govardhan

When you start Outlook after disabling the policy it should add itself to your search scope automatically. After that it should appear in your indexed locations in the indexing options control panel.

Thanks for the reply Ari Polsky.

Exactly, I expected the same behavior youy explained but WDS doesn't show up the Outlook in indexed locations in the indexing options control panel. I wanted to know if there are any registry keys or other places to check for confirmation whether the Outlook is included in indexed locations or not

Thanks,

Govardhan

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Search\Gather\Windows\SystemIndex\StartPages should have a subkey with a value named URL that starts with mapi://
