Hi all

I have installed MS Desktop Search 3.0 on my XP and add netowrk map drive and rebuild index.

When I search any file using MS Desktop Search directly works fine but when I open Explorer in the same network map drive they say that Driver has not been indexed.

Anyone have got the same issue

Cheers

Yes have the same problem over here.

Have got 1 Windows XP machine as server ( mostly sharing folders ) and 3 clients all with a drive letter lets say X: that point to a folder on the server. On all the client pc's the index won't cover the X-drive.

If I browse to that place using explorer then push F3 it also states that the folder isn't indexed.

Can anyone help us on this

Greetz Gura,

Potential work-around here:

You have to manually type in your path, but at least you can specify locations on a mapped network drive.
