I've got a question about Windows Desktop Search and "My Documents". As the title says, how can I prevent "My Documents" from beeing indexed I've deselected "My Documents" from the Dialog "Indexed Locations", but when I restart my PC, it is still included under the Indexingontions. Is this a bug, or a feature

Only way I know so far is to set locations that you don't want indexed as I did below:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search\PreventIndexingCertainPaths]
"1"="outlookexpress://*"
"2"="file:///c:\\*"

WDS doesn't seem to recognise the word 'My Documents' in these settings but you could exclude the C: or D: wherever My Documents is on your PCs.
