Hi there,

I want to prevent indexing Outlook Express and so I have put: outlookexpress://* in the "Prevent Indexing Certain Paths" group policy list - however when I look at the items to be indexed in WDS 3.01 I see: "Microsoft Outlook Express: Main Identity"

What have I done wrong

Thanks,

Steve.

outlookexpress is a per-user search location, so like outlook and network shares you need to put a SID placeholder in the exclusion path. The correct syntax is

outlookexpress://{*}/*

thanks! You should update your documentation as I'm sure others will have this problem also... It's wrong in the 3.01 Administration Guide on page 38.

Thanks for your feedback. We will fix this sample in the admin guide.

Please do fix. I had the same problem.

The guide should explain the syntax fully.

Thanks.
