I tried to create a custom protocol handler by using attributed project using Windows Vista and Visual Studio 2005 SP1. I also installed Windows SDK too.
When I include SearchApi.h, and implement interfaces required to protocol handler, Visual Studio automatically creates an idl file including SearchAPI.idl. SearchAPI.idl includes urlacc.idl, and it includes search_iids.h which doesn't exist anywhere.

Can I get search_iids.h anywhere

Re: Windows Desktop Search Development Missing include file search_iids.h

OK. Seems like there's no search_iids.h.
I gave up using attributes and rewroite my app.
I like the idea of attributes and in many cases, it's very useful. However we cannot use it for custom WDS protocol handler.
If anybody is trying to develop custom protocol handler for WDS using Windows SDK, DO NOT use attributes. At least, untill we get search_iids.h. I hope updated Windows SDK will includes missing files (there seems be plenty of those).
