The Visual Studio 2005 MSDN Help Search doesn't explain the prerequisite #include<file> needed before the System namespace can be called, for example, in the case it were needed to execute the following statements:

using namespace System;

Console::Clear();

Does anyone know this Thanks.

Hi Rossel,

I believe you need to include <windows.h>. Also, if you haven't downloaded and installed the PSDK, you'll have to do that too in order for that to work.

It can be found here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx familyid=0BAF2B35-C656-4969-ACE8-E4C0C0716ADB&displaylang=en

hello

System namespace is part of .NET class library, you need to specify the /clr switch to the compiler then you can do "using namespace System" without include any header file.
